I have a 13" X 9" Corning Ware baking dish. I use it frequently.

I just washed it after making lasagna. I can not believe it. Someone previously used steel wool to clean it. There are now hundreds of scratches in the bakeware.

I am so upset. I am going to run it through the dishwasher. Maybe that will help. Anyone have another suggestion to remove the marks?

I would try wetting the dish then sprinke Bar Keepers Friend in. Gently scrub the scratches out using a sponge or cloth. It is safe to use on Corning Ware.

@drizzellla   Why don't you call Corning ware and ask what they'd recommend?  They may even have FAQs on their website.

I use baking soda or lemon with salt.

I have made a paste out of baking soda & gently buffed out minor scratches on items with a soft cloth.I've even used toothpaste. It works.

Thanks Ladies.

I have lots of baking soda and lemon juice and I emailed Corning. And Barkeepers too.

I recently used Bon Ami (no harsh chemicals, non toxic) to get the knife and fork marks off my dinner plates, worked Great! May work with your Corning ware.

I banished steel wool and soap pads from the kitchen  years ago.  That way no one can accidentally ruin anything.

I banished Corning ware and glass baking pans pretty much because they are difficult to clean.  I prefer enamel on cast iron and ceramics.

Just running it through the dishwasher isn’t going to make much difference, The marks need to be scrubbed off.  Make a paste with Barkeepers Friend and use an old dishcloth, nothing that will scratch the surface. Pfaltzgraff also has a bottled cleaner for removing flatware marks from dishes, that may work for you.
