My kitchen looks like a Tx tornado went thru it.

Everybody knows my speciality is bread. So far I

have 16 rolls rising.

4 loaves to go. I doubled up on real butter (this one time) yeast, eggs, milk.

After today I don't want to look at bread.

Re: Church dinner this Sunday

I'd rather have then sweets.

In my case, I use (just for myself) I can't believe it's not butter.   For the people who aren't as strict as I am I put real butter in the recipe and half cup sugar between 2 loaves.

I butter mine with 'fake' butter.

I'm surprised for some reason home baked bread stays

fresh longer ? Some people have told me that when I give them bread it lasts for 4 days before drying out and going stale.

Store bought raisin bread doesn't last any time

@SharkE  Your kitchen must smell heavenly.

I love baking but do not do as much as I did

when my five children still lived at home.

Re: Church dinner this Sunday

I got one gal who buys me a Christmas gift each yr.

Because I bake her and her husband bread through out the year. Poor thing has osteoporosis real bad can't stand for long. About 90.  She came in one day with her cane and her cane came apart in 2  parts. She was able to grab the back of my chair before she almost fell.

I put the cane back together and twisted the end tight.

Bread is my downfall...I love it and would rather eat fresh baked bread than a meal.

Good quality butter on hot bread....I hear the angels sing.
