Good luck with getting a replacement. Sad to say, your complaint is just one of many, many, many complaints. SHAME on QVC for promoting this line. If you read through the posts on this forum, you will see the many different issues that people have had this this line.
You should NOT have to take special care or be "VERY CAREFUL" with this, or any other dinnerware. And you certainly should be able to wash it in the DW.
I was actually thinking at one time of ordering some TT but, decided to look at the reviews. People have had issues like cracking, crazing, chipping and even casserole dishes breaking in two while being removed from the oven. That is really scary and potentially could cause injury to the user.
You may want to look into Fiesta Ware. It is VERY high quality and has a 5 year warranty which, is pretty amazing. The company must really have confidence in their product to put a warranty like that on it.
