i've not seen any set of the two pieces that are used for toddlers.

They are still available...mostly in children s speciality stores or even on line.

 

Amazon has a big selection.

I think buying a baby a flatware set is a tradition whose time has passed.

Tiffany & Co. carries some very sweet sets in sterling silver if they are within your budget.

 

They also sell single spoons and baby combs.

 

I think they are all very elegant, luxury gifts for baby.  They will also be long-lasting keepsakes.

 

Due to the cost, I only gift Tiffany to immediate family members.

 

If you have the time, you can also shop antique stores and buy some single antique sterling silver teaspoons at a very reasonable price.  I have done that many times to give the "silver spoon" gift to babies of friends.
