On several occasions in the past I've asked people who've tried both to compare Cheryl's to the Lofthouse Cookies sold in the bakery department at grocery retailer including Walmart. I never got a response so I ordered a box of Cheryl's to try. The Lofthouse Cookies are a favorite in my house.
I just received the Cheryl's Cookies and dived right in to do a taste test. The Cheryl's cookie was doughy, almost like it wasn't thoroughly baked. It had very little flavor, even little vanilla flavor. It was just sweet with no taste. What a disappointment! The Lofthouse cookies are thicker with a good vanilla taste and have a texture almost like a dense cake, much more to my liking.
I'll be sticking to the Lofthouse Cookies at $2.99 (on sale) for a box of about 10 cookies. They are also an iced cookie like Cheryl's.
