Very foolishly, I bought 2 packages of frozen chopped onions and did not check the packages for either sell by dates or country of origin. After I opened both packages to put into a freezer container, did I notice these blasted onions are products from CHINA. If I was in my right mind, I would have/should have just returned them to the grocery store. Because it was trash night, the plastic bags the onions were packaged in, went out with the trash and there was no way I was going to "crawl around" in the barrel. I did however send an email to the parent company, Stop & Shop, stating my displeasure of frozen foods now being imported from China. While I hope they do respond, I'm not sure they will. They haven't in the past. I will however, call them within a week or 2 if a response isn't sent. I'm usually careful checking products and really try not to buy food from China, but this time I didn't.
Just thought I'd share my story with you. Check your packages very carefully.
