Celebrity chefs... when is enough, enough?

[ Edited ]

Gonna be a Negative Nelly here with this post. I'm hoping it doesn't turn mean, because I have a great deal of respect for Ree and GZ and in particular, Martha.

However, I'm always turned off when these celebrity chefs branch out and wind up selling clothing and home furnishings and everything else one could imagine.  I would have to think that keeping all those balls in the air at the same time takes a significant toll on their personal lives.

I suppose the businesses they've created take on a life of their own.  Perhaps there are people around them who make it hard, if not impossible to say "enough is enough".

I guess a simple person like myself, with simple wants and needs will never understand their striving for more and more.

"strike while the iron is hot!"

if they have the following and a good product to sell, why not?

if they fail, then they fail.......but at least they tried.

they employ a team to help them, just like any other big or small businesses.

For some people it seems like no matter how much they have achieved or how much money they have, it is never enough. I wonder if they ever feel true happiness.

I think it is great they expand, why not?  There is nothing wrong with being successful and doing what you love, like and enjoy.

They most likely have ambitious A type personalities.

I wish them great success.

Cookware,  kitchenware, utensils, tableware, etc. I think are fair game.  Actual food kind makes sense I suppose.  I think Ree needs to stay in her own lane.  Her current fashion offerings are ugly and way overpriced, IMO.

I don't mind when celebs branch out into other areas. As long as it is something they are really using--- have seen other celebs hawk garbage that  you know they just did it to slap their name on and get the rewards---

i am happy with anything/anyone Q presents that is successful

a q win is a win for all who want q to survive

it has nothing to do with what i personally want or like.   q would be in a hurt locker if they only did what i want or like.

I have several of Ree's blouses, purchased from Walmart...they're well made, easy care & I enjoy wearing them. No one in business should be limited by others who think enough is enough. A productive life is a blessing so good for Ree, I wish her continued success in everything she chooses to do.

@house_cat A creative person usually has a lot of interests.

I have so many creative interests that I need a 2nd house for all of my projects!

I love to sew, crochet, make jewelry, embroider, cook, bake, make shirts & things with my cricut & different kinds of vinyl. I love skin care & makeup. I was a makeup artist at Mac & then did freelance.

I am a great, fun grandma!

I love to make a good Excell sheet & I am pretty good at ping pong.

I would hate it if someone told me to "stay in my lane" & only crochet.

Ree has always been know for her fashion & I am sure people have asked her to share that.

She is pleasant. She isn't hurting anyone. She is just doing her thing.
