I watched the episode Vanessa can't cook with Carla Hall. She made a meatloaf in mini loaf pans. Does any one know how long she baked them for? Thank you.

meat needs to cook to a temp....determined by the type of meat.

ovens vary and going by time is iffy.

There are all kinds of recipes for just about everything imaginable on the internet.  Just use a search engine and type in "mini meatloaves"

Sorry no real answer here, but seeing that she used mini loaf pans I just wanted to add that you could also use muffin tins. I make my meatloaf in muffin tins (cupcake pans) and love it because they get nice and browned all around their outsides, and they cook really fast (350 degrees for 35 minutes, check temp). Kids love 'em! Yum, now I want to make meatloaf! Woman LOL

Here's a picture of what I mean from another site:

You can usually tell when meatloaf is done by sticking a knife in it or using a meat thermometer. I should think it would be easy to tell with a mini loaf.

@Happy2BHere How much meat do you usually use for an average sized 12 muffin tin?  Just curious about how much they would hold.

@Happy2BHere   When my five children were little, I would sometimes make those little muffin tin meatloaves for them.

I would top them with Hunt's tomato sauce and a little oregano.

Hi, I use 1 1/2 pounds of meatloaf mixture (I use leaner beef) and fill about enough to leave room to top with a glaze of 1/3 cup ketchup, 1 TBS worchestershire sauce and 3 TBS brown sugar mixed together.

You could probably fit 2 lbs of mixture in if you wanted to mound it up. I have also used a silicone 6 muffin cup for larger meatloaf muffins. Also I always spray the cups with cooking spray (or grease them) to have them slide out easily. I hope it works for you if you try it! Woman Happy

Good advice, JeanLouise. It pays to purchase and use a meat thermometer. That way there's no guessing and no over or undercooked meat. I bought one recenty because I was tired of overcooked steaks. I purchased a ThermoPro TP Waterproof Digital Meat Thermometer for $22 and change.
