Can you mix BBQ beef and BBQ pork for sandwiches?

I'm a vegetarian so I have no idea if this can be done. I am making BBQ sandwiches for my parents tomorrow and my husband bought BBQ pork (already made) and I bought BBQ beef (already made). Can I combine the 2 or would the sandwich taste awful?
