Re: Can I freeze buttermilk?

I put it into small Ziploc freezer bags in 1 1/2 c portions because that's what I use most frequently.  They lay flat and thaw quickly. I learned that years ago from someone here on the forum. Thank you to whoever that was :-)

Re: Can I freeze buttermilk?

If I had leftover buttermilk,  I'd drink it.   Early in my life mom taught me of the joy of a glass of cold buttermilk and a big hamburger.   Delish.

Gag

Yes, I buy it by the qt. Put in Glad containers. Freeze, just put in biscuits, pancakes, never would drink the stuff.  LOL

Re: Can I freeze buttermilk?

I bake a lot and was tossing buttermilk all the time. Then I found powdered buttermilk. It works great. I know King Arthur Flour has it.

Re: Can I freeze buttermilk?

I freeze it too in one cup lock and lock. After it thaws, it seems to separate into a watery part and the milk solid parts but it cooks ok.
