Re: Camphill Special School set returns to ITKWD Sunday

People who complain that these are not made in/by the school would be the first to complain about the price and shipping time if they were.

I don't especially like Made in China but I like the pieces and am happy to support the school.  It would be nice if they could use an American pottery company to produce them, even if at a higher, but still affordable, price.

I watched the presentation and was very moved by the whole story.  I then heard David point out "of course the school kids could never mass produce these pieces for Q so we had QVC manufacturer produce them".

He had to say no more I knew they were made in China.  So I went to the reviews from previous customers and was surprised "how upset customers were to be deceived in their opinion they were made in China and thought the kids were making them"

This explained David's disclaimer on where they were produced.  It is a shame as it is a great cause and sales % would help school, but, I passed.

I am not complaining that they are not made by the children- I totally understand that there is no way they could begin to make enough to be sold on QVC. My complaint is that they are made in China. Why can't they be made in the US?!! I refuse to buy anything made in China.

I didn't think you were complaining just pointing out a "fact".

Personally, I'm not in the market for anymore of "anything" well 4 bath towels and hand towels from JCP before they close.

I think they're are pottery companies in USA but certainly can't imagine how much more these pieces would be.

They are beautiful though and certainly a great cause🙂
