Calling all cast iron lovers!

You know those Williams guys, the ones from Sonoma? WELL, they have a small 2.5 QT round doufeu on for $75 dollars on their website. I have had this for awhile and just love it. I pop some carrots, celery, and potatoes in, throw a couple of chicken or pork chops on top, add a little water, wine, or broth and let it cook on the stove until it's done. I usually brown the meat first and sometimes lightly oil the sides of the pot.

You put ice in the indention in the top of the lid and the ice, when melted the water, helps steam condense on top and baste the food.

Anyway, it's a great little pot for one or two people--and it is Le Creuset! Can't beat the deal. I'll bet it makes great small amounts o f rice too.
