Two of Georgia's largest crops---peaches and blueberries-- were halfway ruined this year by odd weather.
Georgia is supposed to be the Peach State, even though other states produce as many or more peaches. Too bad the crop did not do well this year. Might discourage farmers from continuing to grow them in the Southeast, I fear.
Loved the post saying that a Maryland farmer had named his peach the Cal Ripken peach. Must be a huge baseball fan. Everyone in Maryland who loves baseball has respect for the Ripken name.
