I bought some recently.  I can't find baking powders without phosphates, so I have to use cream of tarter mixed with baking soda in recipes that call for baking powder.  It does the trick!

I use it all the time. My snickerdoodle recipe calls for it as well as a few others.

My grandma had a cookie recipe that I really liked (but now can not remember the cookie) that used cream of tartar.

It has been years since I had that cookie but it sure was good.  I wish I had her recipe.

Me too. The only thing I use cream of tartar for is snickerdoodles. I haven't made them in years. I think I'll add it to my to-do list for this week, provided I have cream of tartar.

1. Last time I used cream of target was for snicker doddle cookies and I used to my my grandmothers white frosting that was really good. It  was marshmelley. You had to beat it quite a while to make it grow and thicken up.
