After ordering this ice cream machine yesterday, I woke up this AM and cancelled it.  The machine does look really nice (not having to freeze a bowl) but then I thought of the air fryer I purchased.  I love the air fryer but I remembered that a couple weeks following this presentation a new version came out with upgraded features.  I was kind of disappointed but stuck with what I had.

I just feel uncomfortable about purchasing this ice cream machine now..thinking an updated version will present itself in a couple of weeks...maybe producing a larger product or a more powerful motor (watts are not very high on this particular version).

Does anyone else think of this?

I think this is new technology and not many machines of this type out there.  I'm hoping there will be more and price will drop overy time.  I love the concept.

Oh yes. I see them selling, 'new' items a few weeks after they presented it.

BTW: I have the KitchenAid ice cream maker attachment for the stand mixer. Yes, you have to freeze the bowl-but it makes excellent ice cream.

I do have the KA ice cream bowl also and I agree, it makes wonderful ice cream. This new product looks so easy though.  I am satisfied to wait to read reviews and wait for the updated version...one with more power and larger size.  A new version is probably in the works as we speak.

The KA ice cream maker maker 1 1/2 qts. I'm not sure but I think the CE model makes a smaller quantity, (if that's an issue-less ice cream might be a good thing Smiley Very Happy).

QVC almost always sells lesser or old models of electronics.  For example the little egg brekfast sandwich cooker form yesterday, there is a model with a timer and this doesn't have one, but you get a cookbook with QVC's timerless one.  But they don't mention that fact.

You are smart to do research and compare before you buy if things like that matter to you.

I think you are wise to wait.  I too put one in my shopping cart, but I never did order it.  I don't like the fact that there is no bowl that can be removed and washed.
