A restaurant that is less than a mile from my home just started doing brunch again after stopping during the pandemic.  They have the best lemon ricotta pancakes with lemon curd and blueberry syrup.  I don't know if they will do their make your own belini and bloddy mary bar but I hope so as I love makng my own belini with a variety of juices and fresh fruit.  DH and I are going this afternoon.

Do you like brunch?  If so what's your favorite brunch place and favorite brunch eats and drinks?

I like brunch but restaurants seem to offer that on Sundays which is a no-go for me.

NO.  I have to eat soon after I get up, so I'm breakfast, lunch and dinner person.  I like a fiber and protein breakfast too, not sweets.

I enjoy brunch every now and then. I usually go with an egg dish, like Eggs Benedict. My husband favors something more lunch like.  Maybe a Monte Cristo.

In the summer, a place we love, has a Puppy Brunch.

We dress up our pups and take them there for their annual event.

They make the pups a special brunch of puppy chicken meatballs and sweet potato muffins.

It's a wonderful event that benefits dog shelters.  We can all enjoy the event and the pups know it's all about them and love it too!

We used to go to a restaurant for breakfast and then grocery shopping after. It was a bit of travel for us. We stopped going when gas was high and have never gone back.  I recently looked at their prices online and the egg dishes we used to order have gone up $4-5 from what we used to pay. Lunches have become less expensive there.

I enjoy brunch very much.  We've gone to a couple in my area since moving here 6 years ago,  I think it's too expensive, it's more like dinner prices.  Once it cost over $60 for 3 people.

We used to get together with another couple and go on the 3rd weekend of each month...it stoppped during covid and we never resurrected it. Even just going to a local restaurant or a chain is now approaching $40 plus tip. Geez!!!

We love brunch!  Restaurants are expensive, but as a family we meet for brunch on special occasions (birthday, anniversary, etc.).  We also enjoy meeting at someone's home for a holiday bruch, as a potluck.   This frees the young couples up to have a dinner with the other side of the family or with friends.

No, I don't like brunch or brunch foods at all compared to other foods.  I also find brunch foods leave me somewhat hungry before the next meal.

I prefer salads, vegetables, meats, sandwiches, maybe a slice of pizza occasionally.

I will say that back in the old days we used to stay at a Dallas hotel that had a fabulous brunch with an omelet station that did made to order ones right there in front of you.  WOW!  Too old to do things now, glad we went when we could.

And, again way back in the day, Sunday brunch at Commander's Palace when Emeril (before he was famous) was there cookin' for Ella Brennan was a real treat.  Also the old Brennan's restaurant where we went for eggs Benedict that was always ended with bananas foster.

Those were back in the day!  If you are fortunate enough to have family and friends, make them a little bananas foster sometime--even if oatmeal or a boiled egg is the main course!
