Brita Filters

I've been using the Brita Water Pitcher for 25 yrs. The electronic filter indicator on the pitcher cover went out - so I googled Brita - and saw tons of complaints about their water pitcher filters and the Brita system that attaches to the kitchen faucet. People and their pets are getting terrible upset stomachs - from carbon and other gunk sitting in the water - even though they're following the instructions on the box. I'm tossing mine.
