@Sooner --I think I need specific recipes using the 3 qt--do I just half the liquid of a 6 qt? I think I did that making spanish rice and got the burn notice ---and very obvious there was not enough liquid.

@wagirl There are lots of recipes for the 3 qt. on line. I think you would have fun trying them out and finding some you like!
Today we roasted a chicken in the oven and put a bag of fresh green beans and 3 large carrots (peeled, halved and into thirds) and a sweet potato all in the 3 qt. and pressure cooked them. Turned out great!
We cooked them all together and there was still liquid in the bottom when all were done (used left-over beef broth). We use it a lot for veggies and especially for cooking sweet potatoes whole. Also unstuffed cabbage, chili and soups are favorites.

@Sooner ---yes, I will look more thoroughly online--- but I do love cooking veggies in that little guy! My fave is green beans and corn on the cob. I make risotto too, that turns out amazing everytime. the cabbage is a good idea--DD and I love stuffed cabbage---would be alot simpler then throwing leaves in a pot of water to soften them. You've inspired me now!! ![]()

@wagirl I do remember reading that it's not simply as easy as halving the ingredients in a recipe. Each size has a minimal amount of liquid that must be used, so if you half the recipe and the liquid ends up being less than that amount, you would need to add more liquid.

@wagirl Yes UNSTUFFED is the way to go! Also, have you tried stuffed pepper soup? That is great as well. I don't have a standard recipe. My husband says I only look at recipes to see if that's the way I'd do it!
Have fun! Eat good food! Lazy food! ![]()
