BUTTERY ROLLS

4 TO 4 1/3 CUPS BREAD FLOUR (KING ARTHUR IS GOOD)

1 PACKET YEAST EITHER ACTIVE DRY OR RAPID RISE

1 1/2 tsp SALT

1 CUP WARM MILK (70-80')

1/2 CUP SOFTENED BUTTER (ONE STICK)

1/4 CUP SUGAR

2 LARGE EGGS

IN LARGE BOWL, COMBINE 3 CUPS FLOUR, YEAST, AND SALT.

IN SMALL SAUCEPAN, HEAT THE MILK, BUTTER AND SUGAR TO 120'

ADD TO THE DRY INGREDIENTS, BEAT ON MEDIUM SPEED COUPLE OF MINUTES. ADD EGGS, BEAT TO COMBINE. STIR IN ENOUGH FLOUR TO FORM A SOFT DOUGH. (DOUGH WILL BE STICKY)

TURN DOUGH ONTO A LIGHTLY FLOURED SURFACE KNEED UNTIL

SMOOTH AND ELASTIC, FEW MINUTES. PLACE IN A GREASED BOWL. TURN, ONCE TO GREASE THE TOP. COVER AND LET RISE IN WARM PLACE UNTIL DOUBLED HR. AT LEAST.

PUNCH DOWN DOUGH. TURN ONTO A LIGHTLY FLOURED SURFACE.

DIVIDE INTO  ROLLS THEY SAY 24, BUT, I GOT 15. SHAPE INTO ROLLS. PLACE IN A GREASED 13X9 BAKING PAN. I USE A LE CRUESET STONEWARE ALWAYS DOES GOOD JOB. DARKER PANS WILL COOK FASTER AND BE MORE BROWN. LET ROLLS RISE IN WARM PLACE UNTIL ALMOST DOUBLED AT LEAST AN HR. WHEN THEY GO INTO A PREHEATED 375' OVEN THEY WILL RISE A TAD MORE. BAKE FOR 15-18 MINUTES

@SharkE

Oh they look absolutely perfect!  And I bet they smell heavenly!

I have a dental procedure this morning and I had decided to treat Mr4kitties and myself to homemade yeast rolls tomorrow.  That will be my treat for getting through it!  Your recipe is very similar to mine, but I am lazy and let my bread machine make my dough.  Then I take it out and shape it, let it rise again and bake them.

And I have Kerrygold butter to eat with!
