Re: Bowls for Kitchen Aid stand mixer

I have a tilt head Kitchen Aid mixer that is at least 40 years old.  The original bowl is SS with no handle.  Since then I have purchased an extra SS bowl that does have a handle.

I don't favor one bowl over the other.  I have no need for a handle on a mixing bowl, but I am okay with it being there.

Re: Bowls for Kitchen Aid stand mixer

I have a few bowls for my Kitchen Aid mixer. One is the stainless without the handle. I find this useful for whipping cream or batters. I use the stainless with the handle for heavy duty mixing or mashing potatoes. I do have a glass bowl and I seldom use that one. They all have a purpose and it's nice to have the varity. My first choice would always be the stainless with the handle.

I will definitely get the bowl with a handle, and I agree. The handle on the 4.5 qt. bowl is not very comfortable.
