@EatWell  Yes, the stand mixers are still made in the United States in Ohio per the Alliance for American Manufacturing in November, 2017.  As to the pros and cons of bowl lift versus tilt head Artisan there was a good discussion started by house_cat on the forums on October 21, 2018 and had 21 replies:
