Re: Bob Evans Mashed Potatoes

My BFF is an excellent cook, but she always uses the Bob Evans Mashed Potatoes.

@twinsister I have bought them many times. They are good but Reser's Main St. Bistro Signature Mashed Potatoes are better. We like the larger size. They have two sizes and the larger size gives us some extra for the next day. They have a pretty long shelf life in the refrigerator, usually lasting a few weeks or more. They are both sold in the same section of grocery stores.

We always thought the Bob Evans were good until we tried Resers. No comparison if you can find them in your local store. We get ours at Costco.

I've seen commercials for them and in the supermarket, but never purchased.

I love mashed potatoes, but honestly sometimes I am too lazy to make from scratch.

Has anyone tried them - good or bad?

@twinsister    I think they are really good.  My grandkids love them.  I never make mashed potatoes from scratch anymore since I found these.

I really enjoy Bob Evans mashed potatoes—they also make individual cups that are a great quick lunch since they require just a minute and a half in the microwave. Even with no toppings or stir-ins, they've got a great flavor. I like BE better than Reser's; the latter isn't yucky or anything, but I like the taste and texture of BE more.

@loriqvc Not as good as mine, but I like them for a quick side.  I, too, prefer those individual cups, but my Publix never carries them.  Sometimes I can find them in Kroger.  I like to keep one in the fridge and put the rest in the freezer.  When I use one, then I pull one out of the freezer and put in the fridge for next time.

Bummer!

No stores in WNY carry Resers that I can find.

@twinsister   Bob Evans mashed potatoes are very good.  We had them one day this week and we have another package in the fridge.  They do taste homemade.

The packaged Bob Evans Mac and Cheese is also very good.  We buy them two indvidual servings in a package.  I had a serving for lunch today.

Re: Bob Evans Mashed Potatoes

Another vote for Resers Main Street mashed potatoes, but have also used Bob Evans and they're also good.  When you need mashed potatoes and you don't have time or the energy to make your own, these are really good.   I buy them often.
