My favorite is Ginger Evans Biscuit and Baking Mix, sold at Save-a Lot stores.

The Krusteaz mixes are great. I used to buy their cookie mix all the time.

I also like Martha White muffin mixes and cornbread mixes. They are sold in individual pouches. Really good!

Re: Bisquick, Jiffy, or Pioneer?

I always have some Bisquick on hand.   I use it infrequently, but it's handy and has always seemed like a decent product.

One thing I've done if I get lazy and make biscuits with it is to make it a little better by adding some butter.    I cut some cold butter into little squares, then put it in the freezer while I'm doing other prep.

When I get to making the biscuits I add the semi-frozen butter to the dry ingredients and cut it in before adding the wet.   Makes it just a little nicer.  Smiley Happy

I have used Bisquick for over 40 years, and my mother did before me.

Re: Bisquick, Jiffy, or Pioneer?

Bisquick is my preference, fine with Pioneer and use from time to time.  Jiffy to me is just plain nasty and I spit out the one bite of their cornbread and cake mix I tried.  Twice tried with two different items so that was enough for me.  Now many in my family love it and swear by it including my Grandmother before she passed.

I use Bisquick for a bar cookie I make with butterschoch and a cup of pecans.

I have noticed the less expensive brands in most items have the fats that aren't healthy.  They have to cut someahere.

If cottonseed oil is listed, I don't buy.

I like Kodiak Cakes All Natural Frontier Pancake, Flapjack and Waffle Mix almost as much as Bob's Red Mill Pancake and Waffle Mix.  Both excellent, just different.  The Kodiak website has a lot of recipes using the pancake mix and their muffin mixes.  Their recipe for Whoopie Pies looks so good.
