I love iced tea and drink it just about every day. For years now, I've been making it with my Mr. Coffee iced tea maker and a combination of Lipton and Luzianne tea bags. It tastes fairly good, but I'd like to make some improvements. Being a diabetic, I can't use sugar in my tea, so for many, many years I've had to use artificial sweeteners. I've never experienced any problems, like headaches, etc, that some people complain of, but I'd like to get away from using them if possible. To do that, however, I need to find a tea that tastes so good that I won't even notice the absence of any sweetener.
Years ago, I was in Chinatown in San Francisco and had some hot tea there that wasn't sweetened. It was wonderful! I wish I had asked what it was. I hope someone out there can suggest some brands or types of tea that I might find as equally satisfying. Oh, I'm not really looking for flavored teas, though I'd probably like them as much, but rather more traditional types of tea. Thanks to everyone ahead of time for any suggestions you have.
