Agree so much with what you said.  Chris Kimball clearly ruffled a lot of feathers including the viewers.  And to have subsctiption based recipes today, ridiculous.

 

Sometimes when I tried one of their elaborate multi-step recipes not only was it time consuming it didn't taste right.  I remember using baking soda to get something crisp, think it was roasted potatotes and it was awful, tasted like baking soda lol.

 

It's hard to screw up simple roasted potatoes anyway especially if you've done it hundreds of times.
