I also suspect that a lot of canned pink salmon is Atlantic farmed salmon, which I usually try to avoid, but can't always be sure in canned.  But we don't use too much of that at least.

I won't buy it if it doesn't say product of USA.

I like Pillar Rock  red salmon but I'm not sure if it is wild caught.

My Mom bought Pillar Rock back in the 70's, and 80's not seen it in years.

@Shelbelle  The grocery store, Jewel, carries it. My mom bought that too in those years.

It seems to me that Sams carries the top teir of most items.  Their salmon is under the name "Double O".

Oh man, my mom used to make salmon patties using canned salmon and then use cream of mushroom soup as the gravy. Needless to say never made them ever...and no plans to.😊

i like Icy Point, if i can find it.  RiteAid of all places used to sell it. with canned salmon,  i try to gently shake the can, because there may be excess water sloshing around in it, don't want that.

I like Kirland/Costco.  No skin no bones and the can is full!

@Solar Is My Name      I grew up eating salmon patties on Fridays because of the fish on Friday rule for Catholics back in the day.  I prefer canned red salmon to pink salmon for patties. To me it has a better flavor and red salmon is supposed to have more Omega 3 fatty acids than the pink. But really canned pink salmon just reminds me too much of cat food. Canned salmon patties and grits were a staple in my house on Fridays. I still love them.

@50Mickey Your comment brings back memories. I knew what we were having for dinner on many Fridays while growing up. My mom called them salmon croquettes. Yes, she used canned salmon too. Sometimes, she made them flat like patties. I liked them!
