Best *Flavored* Coffee Pods for Keurig.. What Do You Like?

[ Edited ]

I love my regular, bold, go to coffee pods from Costco.  They're called Pacific Bold. They're dark roast, rich and bold.  But, every now and then, I get a taste for a flavored coffee.   I've tried a few flavored ones, but honestly they don't really have much flavor and taste weak.  Have you tried any GOOD tasting flavor coffee pods for the Keurig coffee maker?   I just ordered a 4 flavor sample off of Amazon for the brand "Victor Allen's" which has over 7,000 reviews and almost all 5 stars.  We shall see.

Anyone have a good, bold 'flavored' coffee pod they can recommend?

I don't drink hot coffee. I only like iced, but I like French Vanilla and Toasted Marshmallow Mocha.

I don't like coffee at all but my husband loves the Don Francisco's Kona Blend pods.

He likes a more medium blend favor.  He's tried all the different brands and like the DF the best.  If you like a bold flavor this one might not be for you.

The other day he purchased the Don Francisco's Vanilla Nut flavor and he said while it wasn't bad he probably wouldn't buy it again.

The only brand he didn't care for at all was Peets.

All of the flavored coffee pods seem to be light roast, which is not what you're looking for. I suspect that you're going to have to stick with non flavored pods. I'll keep reading this thread to see if anyone has a suggestion. I'd definitely be interested in a flavored pod that is a darker roast, but that probably distorts the flavor that they add.

I have tried a few of the bold flavored pods because my DDIL swears by them, but my palate does NOT.😁 I LOVE the Original Donut House Nutty Caramel.❤ It is the only one I have found that does not make my coffee undrinkable when I add Vital Proteins Collagen Powder to it. It has just a hint of nuttiness, but the caramel flavor is not "bold". I still think you might like it.🤞🤞 It is however a medium roast.

I am curious to know what you think if you do try it! You will likely enjoy the "treasure hunt" for that perfect cup of Joe.  Happy searching!😊

@ciao_bella- I make flavored coffee all the time. I buy whole beans from a few different brands and grind them myself. I believe I know why you’ve been disappointed with flavored kcups. Kcups are measured to make a 6 oz. cup of coffee. Trying to stretch one kcup to make a larger cup or mug of coffee will compromise and diminish the flavor. I am fully aware that it’s costly to do, but whenever I use a flavored kcup I use two and run two cycles on the smaller setting to make a mug of coffee. ☕️

I only drink my nespresso coffee now but when I used my keurig my favorite was the san francisco bay from costco, very strong like I like it.

I am not a fan of any flavored coffee. Flavored creamer is better if I was going to flavor my coffee at all.

Re: Best *Flavored* Coffee Pods for Keurig.. What Do You Like?

I've never found a flavored K-cup that is any stronger than a medium roast and those are very few. The vast majority are a light roast. Green Mountain has a few, but none I remember enjoying.

For the record, I find Pacific Bold to be a little wimpy. I've have never tried the Victor Allen's flavored coffees but I have tried their regular bold and wasn't impressed enough to buy it again.

If you go to Keurig's website they list all authorized K-cups available.
