Before talking the salad recipe(I'm almost afraid to mention the kind of salad recipe I needed), Q Cust. Serv. and their special department in regards to inappropriate posting were very nice to me yesterday. I wanted to bring this to their attention via phone(not just hitting the nonappropriate button) as I did not want my original post to linger because of the sensitivity issue brought up, not relevent to my request. I logged off yesterday after the incident so I am just now reading your responses. THANK YOU AGAIN FOR SOME GREAT RECIPES.

I had this salad only twice: First time was in the late 70's. And I do not think Tortilla Chips were purchased as much as today, guessing here? I just don't remember this particular chip being as popular as today. I had never heard of it back then. And the Frito Lay Corn Chip seems to be what I remember. Second time was in 2002 when mom died. My little cousins (teenagers) came over to spend the night with me shortly after her death for a sleep over. As a surprise (my one cousin remembered me speaking of this salad) and the girls made it for me. Not as good as original but of course I did not tell them that. NOTE: One poster stated in your replies (just got on computer so have not read all postings) that there could be too much saturation of the dressing. I think that is what the girls did. I was watching them in the kitchen (they were so cute & trying to cheer me up) and they were not measuring anything. LOL!!! Anyway, thank you all for the replies and I definitely want to have this again.

Due to medication and illness, my tastebuds are all over the place. And days when I'm not too hungry. But I have been craving for this salad for some reason.
