Banana Pudding- Chessman Cookies or Nilla Cookies?

I am going to make the Banana Pudding and I know the Paula Deen's recipe used the Chessman cookies I have always used the Nilla cookies. for those that have used both which would give a better taste? On her website the reviews are mixed.Thank you.
