I recently bought some broccolette. I think the cooking will the same as for broccoli. Anyone here ever hear about it or ate it?

What did you think?

Could it have been broccolini?

Broccolette is a cross between broccoli and gai lan (Chinese kale). If you aren’t familiar with this vegetable, you’re in for a treat! (Broccolette is Earthbound’s organic variety of this delicious veggie; you may also see similar items in the supermarket called broccolini or baby broccoli.)

Oven-roasting brings out the sugars and flavors of many vegetables; here it makes the garlic soft and sweet, and browns the broccolette tops lightly, but leaves the stems crisp-tender.

@Flatbush

Broccolette or broccolini is the same vegetable that @sunshine45  posted a picture of.

The entire stem and floret are edible. Much less cooking time than broccoli due to the tenderness of Broccolette.

We cut the end of the stem off, cook and eat.

Thanks for the info. I'm not a greyt vegetable eater, but this sounds like I might like it.

We are growing Broccolini this year in our veggie garden. It has a lighter taste then regular broccoli. So far we have roasted it with olive oil and garlic.  Chopped it and cooked it in a stir fry.  Used it raw with a dip. Not bad at all. Will grow it again next year.
