BOILED PEANUTS IN THE PRESSURE COOKER

I have to admit, I never thought of boiled peanuts in a pressure cooker, until I received Bob Wardens PC book, and thought to myself, if this works, it would be great!!!! Well, I tried them , and they are GREAT{#emotions_dlg.thumbup} I cook several pounds of green peanuts (green peanuts are fresh peanuts straight out of the ground), but not following his recipe, I add a little more salt, depending upon the amount that I have, and to taste, and cover with water, and cook for 70 minutes, and let pressure come down naturally, and then.....eat and enjoy.......since I am only 1, I usually freeze some in qt freezer bags, and thaw under hot water for a few minutes. My dad said, as I got him to get the 4 QT PC, what did we ever do down here before a pressure cooker to boil peanuts!!!!!! These are the best!!!! He will put garlic powder in his, and another friend (who uses a stove top model) will add a couple of drops of liquid smoke.........This is just such an easier way, and no heat in the kitchen, and no testing until they are done. The peanuts are still firm, but soft, and just the right amount of salt. This is now the only way I will cook them...Please give it a try{#emotions_dlg.w00t} You will not be sorry...........
