Thanks irish! My cough is gone, but I like the way Halls make my mouth feel. I don't have any adverse effects from them.

Is your cough gone now?

Yes, finally. It was the worst I have ever had. I actually broke a rib from coughing so hard. I didn't think that was possible. I can't tell you how bad it hurt to cough with a broken rib!! I was on several different antibiotics and it finally cleared!!

I love the Berkeley and Jenson laundry pods at BJ's. I bought some a few months ago to try out (with a $3 off coupon) and they're great. I'm heading to my local BJ's today to pick up my normal stuff (butter, tea bags, flounder, flour, etc.) and see what and all else they may have. I've got a relatively short list this month, so I can splurge a little on anything special I find.

garden, let me know what you get! Have fun!!!

I didn't find anything too special. I did pick up a big box of the panko breadcrumbs and some more frozen flounder. I like the panko for breading the flounder before frying it, but the panko is a bit coarse, so I grind it up before breading the flounder. It really produces a nice crust.

Oh, sorry. I thought you were asking how can someone spend over $200 a week there. I am like wow, it is easy. Didn't realize you were talking about Halls. Wow that is a lot.

HonnyBrown, the poster taking all the Halls. A couple of months ago I had a really bad URI and was sent to a ENT. They told me that any cough drops with menthol, eucalyptus or camphor in them are bad for you. Those ingredients cause irritation to the skin and make the situation worse, which leads you to take more and more. He gave me a sheet of recommended cough drops without those ingredients and I can't remember them all but one was called Thayers and the other was Ludens. After that I was sent to an appt with a pulmonologist because my cough wasn't going away and the first thing he asked me is "you aren't taking cough drops with menthol, camphor or eucalyptus in them are you?". Just wanted to pass that along.

Thanks, Irshgrl31201, for passing that info along. Many might (and obviously) think cough drops are harmless, but they are far from it. All the additives & dyes. Might be OK a couple here/there, but 200 a week? Just the calories & sugar (15/each) for the regular would equal close to a pound a week! And the sugar free would have TONS of aspartame...yes, FAR from harmless!!! Addictive, very, very addictive!

That was a violent cough if you broke a rib! My cough was just dry.

I bruised a rib snowboarding and that was awful. I caught a cold at the same time, so yeah. I know how it feels.

garden, I keep hearing great things about BJs frozen fish: barramundi, flounder and tuna, specifically. I prefer fresh when I can get it. If I see frozen orange roughy, all bets are off!

Another think about BJ's (oh I know what y'all are thinking)is while they have their own coupons, they also take manufacturer's which I have used both at the sametime for a purchase, as with my daughter's contact lens solution, BJ's will have a coupon and so will the Sunday paper and I'll use both.

I can't speak for the other frozen fish, but the flounder is very good. I've bought it for years. I try to keep a bag ahead because they run out from time to time. The fillets are thin and smallish, but clean and delicious. They're not great if you're looking to stuff the fillets, but for frying they're nearly ideal. My youngest cat (Callie) loves the raw flounder and it's a fight to the death when you're preparing it. She has now learned how to tell when I'm prepping flounder and she won't leave it alone until she gets some.
