Tonite I made a small simple salad. I didn't have any salad dressing, and didn't feel like making one, so I poured a bit of B.V. on it and it was very good.

I am wondering what others do with this?

I love balsamic vinegar.  I usually add olive oil and a pinch of brown sugar and pepper.

i always have multiple vinegars in the house. i also always have olive oil.

i do like to reduce the balsamic so it becomes a little syrupy.....so delicious on salads, meats, and vegetables.

I steam vegetables...like broccoli and carrots...and dribble a little balsamic vinegar over the top.  I'm cutting down on caloris and sodium..this meets my needs and  tastes good!

@Flatbush We eat a lot of Italian and Mediterranean food.   We take the olive oil and add a lesser amount of balsamic vinegar to dip the breads in.

@Flatbush I treat myself to a very special balsamic vinegar on my salad and frequently on veggies...it is so worth it!

4% Grand Reserve Balsamic Vinegar by Nappa Valley Naturals

It can be found at Sprouts, Whole Foods, and on Amazon.  I don't consume oil or dairy; so this really makes my salads special. ( Sorry for the fuzzy picture...but you'll find it in a glass bottle with a dark pink label on the front.)  If you decide to buy, be sure it is the 4% Grand Reserve (they make another vinegar with a similar color label that is not the same).   I always have it on hand! Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!Heart

BV primarily for salads. But also when I roast vegetables, or when I put a beef roast in the crockpot. Depends on the vinegar flavor. My newest versions are Red Apple and also Orange. I used the orange last week when I baked chicken.

The ones in the grocery store do not compare with the ones I get at seasonstaproom.

Love a good balsamic.  Good ones are

thick like syrup and sweet, a result of aging, like wine.  I make my own dressing with balsamic, olive oil and some dipping seasoning whisked together.  The seasoning is the spice mixture used to season olive oil for bread dipping.  Works great.
