I have some of those Pyrex Hot Packs that go in the portable carriers for the Pyrex dishes. I also have some of the Cold Packs. Anyway one of them leaked in a plastic bag I had them in. The gel leaked out of the bag onto the lid of a plastic deviled egg carrier I had and I got it on my hand. I immediately threw out all of the Hot and Cold Packs, and wiped off the deviled egg lid, then I washed my hands with soap. I have no idea what's in the gel??
I tried to call the store to see if they knew anything, but none of the numbers I called worked. There is no instructions as to what to do if these packs leak other than to discard them. It said to avoid eye contact and not to ingest the gel. Nothing else and no phone number.
Thanks if you know any thing else about these packs!!!!

Most of these I've seen and used are marked that the contents are non toxic, but I don't know what is in them. I tried a quick google search to see if there was any information, and didn't see anything, but didn't spend a lot of time on it.
Are you concerned about it being toxic, or do you have any allergies or sensitivities to certain things? I would think that unless that is the case, you should be just fine washing any contacted surfaces and yourself with just hot water and soap.

There's a store at the outlet mall in Birch Run, MI.
If you give them a call perhaps they can locate a store closer to you.
