Are Egg Beaters just like eggs?

I have a recipe for frittata. I'd like to make it a little healthier. I have used egg beaters in baked goods but I was not sure about them in a recipe where the egg is predominant. It has other things in the recipe such as peppers, onions, cheese, bacon and hashed browns but my recipe calls for 12 eggs. Would these taste the same and have the same texture? Thanks for any info.
