I just made chicken and dumplings in my Instant Pot pressure cooker. It came out so delicious. The recipe was from Bob Warden's book Great Food Fast. It really is a good cookbook for pressure cookers.

I was wondering for one person if it would be just making too much food. I am tempted though. I had one years ago I think the original Cooks Essential one. It had issues and I passed it on.

evom, it's just me and I use my InstantPot quite a bit. I too had a CE and wasn't nearly as pleased with the results as I am with the IP.
Rachb, as I said above I could not recommend the InstantPot more. So easy to use and clean up and the insert is stainless steel which I was looking for. Press a couple of buttons and you have a delicious meal!

Hear hear, @momtochloe !
I have a Wolfgang Puck here, and soups/stews I wouldn't do any other way now that I've tried them in the PC. I used to use it a lot more prior to the mini RC's introduction, but still lean on it for things that warm up well. Cheesecake done in the PC...YUM!!

@Gokat I am so happy I took the PC plunge and would highly recommend others to do so!
I love that you can brown protein before you actually start the pressure cooking process so you get the best of all worlds in a matter of minutes! ![]()
