Anyone Still Use Sugar Cubes?

I know there are a fair number of hot tea drinkers here and I'm wondering if anyone still uses sugar cubes?  While WM still carries them my local grocers no longer do.

My weekend project is clearing countertop space for a simple coffee/tea station and stocking it with nice-to-have-on-hand items.

Your thoughts?

Why just for hot tea?  Sugar is used in coffee too.

I have never used sugar cubes.  I have a sugar bowl somewhere.  Most people I know use the yellow or  blue packets of sweetener.

I just buy a bag of sugar. Can use it for baking or sweet tea (iced).

I am a tea drinker.

I use sugar cubes.

Local grocery stores carry the cubes.  Never had to look for cubes in any other store that sells food.

Can't answer your counter-top statement.  I keep my sugar cubes in the fridge.  The rest I keep in a vacuum locked container in one of my upper kitchen cabinets.

I keep my tea bags in a tea bag container on my countertop.

Re: Anyone Still Use Sugar Cubes?

I use white and brown cubes in a glass jar.  They are pretty.  Some superfine sugar or sugar syrup is nice if you drink sweet iced tea.

Sugar container, small spoon for the sugar (one with a shell shaped bowl is pretty), iced tea spoon for drinks and eating yogurt, digging pickles and olives out of jars, etc.

Some pretty small napkins in a basket are nice for guests.   Some wrapped tea bags for hot tea and an assortment for company.  A small milk pitcher is nice too.  If you really want to go all out a lemon fork and small plate and small sugar tongs! Woman Very Happy

Thank you all for the responses!

Going to reuse/repurpose what I already have. Vintage coffee and tea cannisters with tight lids, Fiesta sweetner packet holder, sugar shell and have to find the sugar bowl!  🙄

@Sooner I do like the idea of a pickle fork for lemon and a box of assorted teas.

@Mz iMac wonderful idea to keep sugar in the fridge or tightly sealed in a high cupboard. I can see you lounging in satin pajamas enjoying your evening tea.

Re: Anyone Still Use Sugar Cubes?

My Grandfather always had the sugarbowl filled with sugar cubes on the kitchen table for his coffee.

I would eat one now and then when I was visiting...LOL

I hadn't thought of those in years and didn't even think they still made them!  We used to have them on hand for coffee and tea.  Very convenient!  I don't use sugar in my coffee or tea.  On the rare occasion I want some sweetener in my tea I will use a bit of honey.  I think having the cubes in a little decorative jar or tin is a pretty and practical idea!

Re: Anyone Still Use Sugar Cubes?

Amazon has a bunch of choices for both white and brown sugar cubes. They have a 1lb box of Domino white pure sugar cubes as low a 7.49.

They have sugar cube tongs as well.

Re: Anyone Still Use Sugar Cubes?

I don't add sugar to my coffee or tea but I do have a coffee/tea station.  I keep all my teas and extra k cups as well as DH sweeteners and mugs above the station in cabinets.  The only things on the counter are the Keruig and a k cup carousel.
