Anyone Remember Meatball Magic?

I think this item may have been from one of the QVC Locals, back in the 90s, that's how old it is!  I had a bunch of stuff in a small storage unit that I am finally clearing out after several years.  I came across a small QVC box and when I opened it, it was the Meatball Magic!  I had never used it.  It is a square, acrylic device with dividers, and you place it on top of ground meat and just move it back and forth, and it rolls meatballs perfectly.  I remember the demonstrations and was very impressed.  I am so excited to rediscover this item and can't wait to try it.  It came with a brochure with several recipes.  I just love rediscovering long-forgotten kitchen gadgets, LOL.  If you don't remember this item, you can check it out on eBay.  They have several in stock.

I also rediscovered my Maxim grill that I bought at QVC many moons ago. I am having a ball with it.  It makes awesome salmon and steamed broccoli.  I feel like I just went on a shopping spree, but this is actually old stuff that I had in storage and simply forgot about.  I am so glad that I tend to keep things around and don't donate them to Goodwill if I don't use them for awhile. 🙂

Re: Anyone Remember Meatball Magic?

Like a fool, I purchased Meatball Magic.  It was more trouble than it was worth.  Even after the meatballs were shaped, I still had to roll them.  Also, the balls were a bit on the small side.  I threw it out but kept, and still use, the round, plastic containers that came with.  As I've aged, I've become much more selective in what I purchase.  I don't need junk and clutter.

I remember the demonstrations for Meatball Magic on QVC.

For some reason reading this brought back memories of Betty Crocker bake and fill, have it stored in my basement and never made one cake using it!

It sounds like it might be similar to the "Shape + Store" sets QVC has been selling over the past year or so for forming equal portions of burgers:

I donated that acrylic meatball maker to a church for their food bazaar....I hope it helped them make the thousands off small meatballs they needed.

Loriqvc, thanks for posting the Shape and Store for burgers.  I do remember seeing it presented once, but forgot sbout it.  I need a burger-making device and this will do the trick.  I watched the video; it was nice seeing Gabrielle again.  So many good hosts have left.  I put this in my wish list for future purchase.

A couple of comments mentioned that the meatballs are small with the Meatball Magic.  I remember when it was presented, they suggested that a thicker layer of ground meat would make bigger meatballs.  I'm going to experiment with it.  I just love kitchen gadgets and finding this made me feel like I bought a new item, even though I've had it for years, LOL.  It doesn't take much to make me happy! 😁

@loriqvc ---I fell for this item too and sent the stupid thing back---was way more work trying to get just the right amount of ground meat in it to close, without popping open if one end had more than the other-----
