Anybody using microwave pressure cooker?

I saw a new improved model yesterday being presented by Meredith.  I have had mine for a year-and I am embarrassed to say I have never used it....I am not afraid of pressure cooking, but I have reservations about using it in the microwave. If you do use it, what do you make? Are there any web-sites for it?  I would love to use it for things such as dried beans and rice.  I would love to hear,

Thanks,

Re: Anybody using microwave pressure cooker?

I use mine a lot.  If you have a large family it is too small, but for a one or two person household, it is just right.  I've cooked all sorts of things, including chicken and vegetables, pork chops, stews, different casseroles, etc.  I haven't done a red beans and rice type dish but am certain it would work.   The booklet that comes with it gives you some idea of cooking times. Otherwise I just play around with different recipes to get the timing down. There isn't anything to fear from it.

I got one, misplaced instructions before I could use it so now it just sits and I don't have the slightest idea as to what to do with it.

You can download a copy of the manual online from this site and there is also at least one video on youtube.  Or just google prepology microwave pressure cooker manual.

Thank you Scotnovel!  I am pleased to tell everybody that I made the chicken kale soup from the recipe book and there were no explosions or boil overs! I used boneless skinless breast and they were tender and delicious.  Tonight I'm going to try the zesty chicken thigh recipe.
