Anybody have the Ninja Woodfire Pro XL?

[ Edited ]

Asking because HSN has this for $309 for this week (3/17 - 3/22). This model is 30% larger than original.

I believe this price has been lowered because the newest version is the "Connect" which has WiFi capability and will most likely replace this model.

The presentation was very informative.

Re: Anybody have the Ninja Woodfire Pro XL?

I got it from Q before Christmas.

Maybe I'm just a bad cook or cannot read directions.

The Smoking feature seems to work but I overcook everything.

The recommended temperature seems to be too high.

I thought the size of it would be good for just 2 of us. It just does not work as a "grill" Might be just my skills.

Thanks for the input!

I'm looking at videos on youtube and it isn't you. Some are saying the temps their recipes call for are too high.

Re: Anybody have the Ninja Woodfire Pro XL?

I don't have the Pro--I have the smaller version of it--the 7-in-1 for $299 ,  I bought it a year ago from HSN. ---I LOVEHeartHeart mine and use it 3-4 times a week all year round!! I saw the  wifi version of it----and really, I don't need that and I don't need  a bigger model.  I live in a very small apt--the balcony is not far from my kitchen--I go out to it to check up on within a few steps. Have baked in it,  grill veggies and salmon and meats---have yet to smoke anything, but will . It isn't that tough to clean it up---and it lives year round outside, under my covered balcony with its cover. I think that price of $309 is pretty good especially if there is free shipping. It is not a chinzty machine either--has some heft to it

@granddi ---there is a learning curve to using this machine--and sounds like you need to reduce the cooking time--I had to but not by a whole lot--for me, it was just a minute or 2 less time. I mainly cook on medium. Yes it is a grill---my salmon comes out with beautiful grill marks as does the steaks I cook. and my roasted veggies do too. I do put a little olive oil on my meats/fish as well--now I haven't done any smoking yet---I always go a little less time and maybe temp the first time I used it. and I think using a thermometer is a must--have learned to use that thing alot.

@wagirl

Thanks for the response.

I'm ready to hit the checkout button!!!  It is Free Shipping and the stand also is.

There's going to be a learning curve, so expecting that, but excited to get this.

I like that it's electric because I don't like using propane or charcoal - too much hassle.

Hi!    The stand doesn't come with it.  Yes, that would be awesome!   It's $99, so not bad, but also with free shipping.

Hey, thanks for all your good info!

Re: Anybody have the Ninja Woodfire Pro XL?

I have the original version as it's just me using it.  I LOVE IT!  I use it at least 3-4 times a week for steak, chicken, roast, wings, ribs and veges.

For a great help, go to YouTube and find "Cooking With CJ".  He does everything well including a short tip on how to clean it.

I do find the pellets that come with it are really bad.  Find somethig else like Traeger.

We have the regular size Woodfire. We love it.

Cook to internal temperature - not by time!
