Re: Any one already have this ?

Sure, but, trying to do away with grease. Remember, I got high cholesterol

Frying green tomatoes in summer that I love is to much crisco LOL

want to just spritz them with olive oil and air fry.

in my air fryer they are raw and dry with the cornmeal coating. wonder if

I could fix in this thing with just a tad of oil.

just one shade though, ugly butt black........ugh.........

Roast them in the oven like you do 'fried" chicken?

Re: Any one already have this ?

never thought of that guess they would brown ?

I got 2 ovens in kitchen. The major one and the french door oven Q sold

Come summer I'll give it a go. My cholesterol was 223 then it went to 226

and couldn't figure out why then it dawned on me I was eating more green tomatoes because low calorie, but, I was frying them in skillet with grease

hate to give them up altogether, so, I can try anything I guess. They're hard to get here in Tx not like in Ind. Down here they look at you like "what"? LOL

Re: Any one already have this ?

Use olive oil.  It reduces the bad cholesterol levels in your body..  I always use it for frying and spritz it on food for oven frying.  The light variety has no olive taste.

All oil is high in calories, so take heed of that if you need to.

Re: Any one already have this ?

yeah, I do wings in the air fryer in olive oil, can't taste it even use 'extra virgin', frys in air fryer, salmon in my round see thru older model NuWave

air fryer.

won't give up my fried chicken and catfish though hahahhaha just don't make all the time along with chili just make that once a month too.

you ever see all the fat in a chili roll ? I screamed out loud and I used to just melt one down and eat it straight with crackers. LOL

another one bites the dust, not much on ice cream thank God for that !

Husband loves it, but, he's on cholesterol pill and his # is like 160 !!

I just don't want to take another pill. On high blood pressure pill anyway only thing I take. Wasn't that high in first place, but, these Dr.'s want you to be perfect. LOL

I knew a gal whose cholesterol was 600 and was stick thin ! go figure !

@SharkE  could you poach sliced green tomatoes a bit?  then bread & air fry?    I've never made them, but maybe cooking the tomatoes some before would help the raw and dried out out problems.

Re: Any one already have this ?

I know this seems complicated, but what if you twice cook/fry them like most French fries are done.  You would bake/air them to get rid of some of the moisture and partially cook them, then batter and air fry.  You might could twice air fry them with the coating on, but I'm pretty sure it would get too dark.

Just a thought.....
