Food Network star Anne Burrell died on Tuesday morning in New York. She was 55.

Burrell died in her Brooklyn home, according to People. The 55-year-old was the long-time host of the reality show Worst Cooks in America. She appeared on various other Food Network shows, including Chef Wanted, Chopped and Food Network Star.

I'm so sorry to hear that. I enjoyed Anne on Chopped; she had such an outgoing personality and she could cook!

55 is far too young... Condolences to her family and loved ones

My DH just sent me that text about Anne Burrell....so sad.  I loved her on House of Knives, a great chef.  RIP

I'm so shocked to here this.we have been watching her for years. First time I saw her was on her show on food network .her show was secrets of a restaurant chef. And we loved her fabulous personality right away and have been watching her ever since. Rest in peace Anne.

@Pooky1 I, too, was shocked at her untimely passing.  I recall a show where prospective chefs would compete for an executive chefs job at various restaurants.  She was the host of the show.  She interviewed the chefs, rated their meals and eliminated the ones who didn't win the job.  

I also remember when she got married in 2021 during the COVID situation.  She and her new husband seemed very happy and their marriage endured until this apparently unexpected parting.  

Rest in peace, Anne Burrell.  You will be missed!
