I read a tip on a forum (might have been this one!) to try Alpine Valley Bread with Omega at Costco because it did not spike blood sugar. I don't know if that is true, but its delicious! It is whole grain, has 81 calories, 5 grams of protein and 3 grams of fiber per slice. It is uniquely moist with a wonderful texture and flavor.
Two loaves at Costco are just over six dollars, which is a bit expensive by Costco standards, but I will be buying this again. I put one loaf in the freezer.
