Does anyone use the milk past the 10 day recommendation? It doesn't smell bad but I always end up tossing at least half and it seems such a waste.

I write on the cap the date I open it and toss it the morning of day 11 and open a fresh one. I don't like the thought of eating/drinking old food.

I have had it in the fridge for 13 or 14 days, but hadn't drank it past day 10. I opened it and smelled it before tossing and it smelled fine.

Do you think almond milk tastes nutty? That's what the commercial on tv says. I can't detect a nut smell or taste.

I use almond milk past the 10 day recommendation of it doesn't smell, or look funny. I usually use it up before the expiration date, I treat it like regular milk.

My teacher daughter has used almond milk for years. She has NEVER finished the product within the time frame you are referring, and she has NEVER tossed the product thinking it is bad. Her response is that it's not a dairy product.

I'm sure I have used it after the date. I buy Almond Breeze and there's nothing in the ingredients that can harm you. Water, almonds, sugar and vitamins are the main ingredients.

Same thing here. Never a problem even beyond the date.

Oh, no...The refrigerated almond milk lasts 7 days. The non-refrigerated milk lasts 7-10 days. I use the non-refrigerated, and after approximately the 7th day, it starts curdling. If you pour it down the drain, you will see the curds at the bottom like sour milk will form. Really disgusting!

I always write the date I opened it on the carton, and rarely use the whole thing in 10 days. I thought I could stretch it once until I poured the remainder of the carton down the sink and saw all the curdled "whatever"! Now, it goes down the drain on Day 11 without fail.

Oh have not seen the curdle happen but that would make me feel sick if I had some in my mouth...I might have to just toss now that you said that
