mtc, did you get your food sealer?

The Dill Pickle Potato Chips are still on the Aldi's shelves.  Turkey and Stuffing Chips sound SO GOOD!  I have to stay away from their snacks this week though.

Yes thank you HB, I was able to get both the food saver and the steam mop.  Both are still in the their respective boxes mind you but safely in my house.

I am heading back there tomorrow to see if I can find a small Honeysuckle turkey breast.  I didn't get a chance to look very well as they had a forklift in front of that case so I'll swing by there tomorrow.  Those turkey breasts are just delicious!

Plus I'm going to try and gather the necessary ingredients to try that caramelized onion tart I posted on another thread . . . yum!

Quick update on the food saver . . . jury may be out on that one.  I had a very hard time getting it to seal (it's supposed to click and stay down and mine does not, I had to hold it down) but once I did that I did get it to seal.

I'll see if that item is still sealed tomorrow and also seal up a few more things.  I know the appliance is new but this isn't rocket science so I'm not sure what went wrong today . . . hmmmmm.

Thanks for the update, mtc!  It probably just has to work off its newness.  The same with my clock.

I have to get used to the steam mop.  I'm used to putting elbow grease into a floor.

Oh I'm so glad you figured out your clock (I thought of you when I saw them in the store) but I have to ask what is the purpose of this clock?  Does it keep the room darker and then you press a button when you want to know the time?  I am so curious . . . Smiley Happy

mtc, the clock isn't programmed yet.

I bought it to us in my bathroom.  Right now, I use my Playbook (BlackBerry tablet) for the time.  I have to swipe it to see what time it is.

With the projection clock, there is a dual display, alarm, weather and a projector.  I won't need to be near the clock to see what time it is.

Thanks HonnyBrown, these are a totally new thing for me.  Never saw one before . . . thanks for the explanation!

I still use those clocks that automatically reset themselves with each time change.  Bought a bunch decades ago from QVC when they were a TSV and they still work great thank goodness . . . Smiley Happy

My husband went on a decluttering frenzy in March.  He got rid of the wall clocks because I wear a watch, we use our devices constantly, and we have the microwave and cable boxes all with the time.

I have a bucket of Skagens that need batteries, all of the devices are password protected and there isn't a microwave or cable box in every room.  Sometime you just need a plain old clock to see what time it is.

This week, I noticed the steam mops were reduced to $24.99, down from $29,99-so I took my receipt and got a refund. They had a lot of turkey fryers.

Lacey, that is awesome!  Thank you for letting us know!  I hope I can still find my receipt.
