Aldi Ambiano electric multi slicer/gater

Has anyone purchased this and tried it out? It is $24.99 (I think) and is in their ad this week. I have a mandolin (which scares the heck out of me), a cuisinart food processor, so I don't really need this. But it intrigues me and I am wondering if it is a quality built small appliance.

Re: Aldi Ambiano electric multi slicer/gater

I don't have this slicer, but have purchased a few Aldi's kitchen items.

I bought one of the mini choppers and it worked fine. The plastic was a little thin, but it did the job.

I think that their items are sort of middle of the road but very usable.

Not the same quality as a Cuisinart or Kitchenaid product.

Since we moved I don't have an Aldi close by. Most of their items have warranties. HTH

Definitely "warming up" to my local Aldi's. Best baby lettuce ANYWHERE, FRESH 1/2&1/2 for my coffee, nice store!

You can see a good instructional video here:

https://qr.aldi.in/93459

It helped me see how to change the cones, which I couldn't understand from the booklet.  Has a 3 year warranty, so keep your receipt.  Haven't used it yet.  Just wanted to come on here before I forgot so others can see the video, if interested.

Thank you, sixteen. I wasn't able to view the video becaue my adobe flash player is out of date and I have tried repeatedly to install the new one. Maybe I'll just buy one and mess with it.
