For convenience, I would like to purchase one oil to use in my EVO spritzer for my "soon to be here" air fryer.  I know that it needs to have a higher smoke point and would like one that is very neutral in taste.  Cost is not an issue but something less expensive is always good.  I've read that avocado and grapeseed oils are good.  Are they neutral in taste?  What about canola (which I already have and notice no taste)?  I've read the smoke point on it is 400.  Any and all advice is appreciated!

Never have even thought about the oil, I have used olive oil and canola spray both work equally well

I baste my salmon and wings with olive oil that Batolli oil baste it on with a silicone brush you can find at Walmart.

Got a bottle of Veg oil for fries spritzer bottle from grocery, Dozens of choices out there right now.

Yesterday I had 12 chicken wings to fix for supper I put 6 in my Nuwave air fryer (6 qt,) and fried the rest in crisco with flour coating.and even when the air fryer wings were about a minute or 2 from being done took them out and rolled them in bbq sauce in a bowl and put back in Nuwave for the 2 minutes

I basted them first with the olive oil, cooked for 15 minutes bbq'd 2 minutes more. Love that option.

Re: Air Fryer Oil Advice

[ Edited ]

I use coconut oil & olive oil in the set of 2 EVO sprayers I have.

I also use coconut oil in a Misto sprayer.

The foods I cook do not taste like coconut.

The EVO spray bottles dispense too much oil sometimes IMO.

They also sell Pompeian Coconut Oil spray without propellants.

While I don't have an air fryer, I think safflower oil has a high smoke point, as well as a neutral taste.

I may have to retract the safflower oil recommendation. I have some but bought it refined for use with high heat (at vitacost). Here's some info that may help:
