Made burgers in the air fryer last night because it was cold & we did not want to light up the grill. Big mistake. Won't be making those in the air fryer again. Our house filled up with smoke. Had to opens windows, turn on a fan, turn on the Heat LOL!!. Yes I put water in the bottom of the one pan but still had lots of smoke.

It was a good thing we made them in there last night though. I asked DH why did our smoke detector not go off. It had gone off before while using the air fryer when you could not see any smoke. A wire had broke off of it so it was not working. It was a Blessing this happened so we can replace it. We had no idea it was not working. DH had just replaced the batteries & it was working.

Wow, I never heard of that....For a long, very long time I wanted a Tbone steak...I would look at them and then put it back they were over $12 a #. Well the other day when they were  under $8 I bought one and put it in my air fryer......I swear it was better than the steak house and my husband said I could make them anytime I wanted.........Well,,

I got a surloin and made it in the fryer and he said while it was good and tender the Tbone was better......lol

We for some reason don't eat many hambergers but everything I have fixed in there has been great......

Wait......I made grilled cheese the first time and didn't butter the inside and the bread and cheese stood up along time side...but when I scooped the cheese back on it was pretty good.......I also made an apple tart that was yummy......sorry you had so much trouble ..

i cooked two corn dogs in there today. I spritzed them with oil and cookjed at 400 for 8 minutes.  I forgot to turn them, so one side was bit darker, so less time would do, say 6 minutes.  They were so crispy.

I also did a grilled gouda cheese sandwich in it, but turning it was hard becasue the bread was the wide loaf instead of a squarer loaf.  The top slide off a bit and some cheese leaked out.  I buttered it like normal.  Next time, I'll just spritz it with oil.  I saw it on youtube, so I tried it.  The guy in the channel cut a paper plate to the size of the container and put that on top and turned the sandwiches out onto it, then put them back in for another 4 minutes at 400.

You may want to try making hamburgers but with less fat than normal since an air fryer needs very little fat to work.  98% lean beef should do well in there.

@grannyjan I need to ask a question, when you make your grilled cheese do you butter both the inside and the outside of the bread (as now that you mention it that would help the bread stick to the cheese)?

I spray my grilled cheese with butter flavored Pam.   Been doing it for years when I use a griddle.

@momtochloe @grannyjan When you make a grilled cheese Meredith said to put a toothpick in the sandwich to keep the top slice of bread from blowing off & the cheese along with it. LOL!!! I have not had a grilled cheese since I heard her say that but think it would work. I only lightly butter the outside of the bread.

I have seen a commercial on TV several times where they show using mayo instead of butter??? Has anyone ever done that? I have never heard of it.

All I can say is...a toothpick......DUH !!!!!!!!LOL

A couple weeks ago I bought 2 pot pies, the kids and husband used to like them.......but in the oven it was either they were very brown , close to black on the top or the right color and they were frozen yet in the middle.....

I got them out of the freezer today and let them set on the counter and were mostly thawed...put both of them in the AF  360 for 15 min and they were very good I have to say they were never my favorite but they tasted good......and the top was just like I want in a pie crust dark enough.....

We also never bought frozen things like FF or chicken nuggets but the other day I tried waffle fries and they were crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle.....also I fried 4 pieces of chicken that came out yummy......I am sold on this machine.....there are just 2 of us to cook for and to heat the oven or mess up the stovetop for that little bit seems silly...Really like it.

@Nightowlz  Yes....I, too, read about using the mayo, so I finally tried it recently.  It was good.  Using it on the bread was certainly easier to spread than the butter.
