Re: After seeing Jimmy the Baker meltaways - decided to bake!

@homedecor1  Aww, you're so sweet! What do girls play? DH and I play euchre with 3 other close friends' couples. We were doing it once a month and rotate through everyone's homes.  Hosting couple had the main meal then everybody else would bring something to munch on.  Unfortunately one of the couples moved to the Cleveland area (we're in COlumbus) so we actually tried to go there this month but we couldn't get a Saturday that everyone had free.  Tons of FUN for sure and lots of good eats!

Re: After seeing Jimmy the Baker meltaways - decided to bake!

I find that Jimmy the Baker cookies are some of the few reasonably priced food items on QVC.  I've bought them occasionally, as the kitchen in my apartment is very cramped and is not conducive to baking or cooking.  Fortunately I will be moving to a much larger place soon and will be able to bake again. :-)

But in the meantime, I will continue to order these cookies as they are delicious, IMO.

@PINKdogWOOD

A few ladies in our group play bridge, pinochle & euchre - most of them play cards every afternoon & casino or Bingo a few nites - much to much for me!

1x/month we play Canasta (every 3rd Wed)

1x/month we play Bunko (once a month is my limit😉)

Every Friday we play International Rummy (no brain game!)

The group I play Bunko & International with we pick 1 day/month to host or go out to early dinner. We are all ladies (I'm the only one w/spouse).

Its a lot of fun & if you like to entertain it's a nice way to host a small dinner gathering.  Unfortunately, I'm as bad as cards as Bingo!!! Lol

Have a great weekend!

Thank you for the recipe and picture! They look fantastic.  They look like one of my childhood favorites from Christmas time.
