Re: AIR FRYER: Does Anyone Have One?

[ Edited ]

Received mine yesterday. Going to try pork chops tonight. It's a lot bigger then I thought it was going to be.

I made 3/4" boneless pork loin chops brushed with olive oil, salt pepper & thyme, cooked at 360° for 12 mins. They were yummy.

Did you order the one from the Q or the Philips?

Re: AIR FRYER: Does Anyone Have One?

I have a Phillips one that I don't use nearly enough. But, I brought home a half of a grilled cheese sandwich and some fries from lunch and decided to heat them up for dinner in the air fryer - absolutely perfect! I really need to use it more - when I do, I like it very much. I have other gadgets and have not cooked a steak in it, but I like to use to for frozen snacks.

I'm so leery of cooks companion products. GRANTED - I've only ordered one cooks compainion piece but it was a complete and total DUD! Same goes for Concierge Collection. If I get burned by a brand I don't give them another chance.

How long ago did you try CC products?  I've bought quite a few and have been over the moon with the quality.  I have their 3.3 quart digital air fryer and couldn't be happier.  I also have a couple of flip pans which are amazing, however, I am the same way, if I get burned I tend not to try again.

Just last month. I ordered the cast iron ceramic grill pan. Probably in the top 5 of worst online purchases ever. The quality is horrible. The lid that came with it was not even ceramic coated, which they failed to state (and really makes no sense since the rest of it is). The paint job was just horrible - really thin coat of sloppily applied ceramic. No gradient as shown in the photo. I know how to use ceramic cast iron and this was awful. Everything stuck and was really difficult to clean. The pour spout is too small and doesn't begin far enough down the pan - so if you tip the pan to use it - it doesn't really funnel properly into the spout, so you have to pour extremely slowly so the liquid won't just spill everywhere over the regular edge (difficult since its so heavy and awkward). Spout is only on one side which doesn't seem like a big deal - unless you're left handed. Then it's a big deal because you have to lift a heavy cast iron pan and try to tilt it with your non dominant hand and pour slowly since their poorly engineered spout wasn't created large enough to funnel the liquid properly. I could go on and on. I couldn't send it back fast enough. I'm going to get a Staub grill pan instead which was higher rated than the le creuset and only costs around $99. I'm just annoyed I even ahve to pay $12 to send the thing back.

Wow - I'm surprised.  Their cast iron I thought looked pretty good and I was so tempted, but I have no use for things like that.  I don't cook all that often so for the little I do I have enough.  I'm donating most of my pots and pans to get rid of clutter.  I would call corporate and they will pick up the return shipping for a defective item. No doubt in my mind.  Their CS is awful so if I don't get the response I want  from CS - I call corporate - it gets done.  Nothing to lose by trying ...

Re: AIR FRYER: Does Anyone Have One?

I too had problem with CC products when they first introduced the line.  Very disappointed in some pots that I ordered among other things and stayed away from them for a very long time but took the plunge on their smaller air fryer and just love it along with a flip pan and also one of their cast aluminum dutch ovens.  All perform extremely well and clean up like a breeze and have remained non-stick for quite some time.  I would encourage folks to maybe give them a try if you see something you like.

Re: AIR FRYER: Does Anyone Have One?

Yes, I bought a set of the enamel cast iron...I own Le Creuset, love it, can't get it in dark blue anymore, and for that price..I thought "what the heck?" I ordered the 7 piece set.

dutch ovens and frypans were great, no complaints..the saucepan had a patch on it where there was no blue enamel..I immediately called ans CS was initially great..They would send me a new pan, no need to return the heavy defective one...Great..a month went by, nothing..Called back, oh they were so sorry, they would send it right away!

well this went on for weeks until...you guessed it..We are out of it..."well what am I to do? I bought a set, and now I no longer have a set?" Well, you can package the whole hundred some lb set and we will refund your money...Honey, I couldn't even LIFT that whole set, let alone, pack it up and take it to UPS...

Not a very satisfying experience

But

i have had great luck with my flip pans! Love them! And love Dmitri, never had a problem with his stuff

but yeah the whole Evine  thing leaves me with mixed feelings..
